Lath detacher

 

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Renholmen’s lath detacher faces the dry sorter’s intake and obstructs laths that have frozen solid or become stuck with resin in the package, i.e. dry laths that, in the event of cold or warm weather conditions, become stuck and follow along in the production process – in the worst case scenario all the way to the root cutter. The lath detacher, a long conveyor worm, is brought down between each destacked layer via a pneumatic cylinder, and ensures that the laths drop down into the belt conveyor as they should. One clear advantage of this is that the operator does not have to pick up and carry the laths to the lath receiver by hand. A small but useful solution for installations in both cold and hot climates.

FUNCTION DESCRIPTION
The lath detacher is brought down between each destacked layer via a pneumatic cylinder. The rotating worm effectively nudges, releases and sends the laths to the lath belt conveyor and not on into the production process.
